Common errors for Supersparks

These are some errors you might encounter while configuring Supersparks' reviews and comments products.

Pasting components on Safari

Pasting components to Webflow on Safari is not possible. Even component libraries like Relume have yet to crack this code. If you are seeing an error while pasting the component in step 1) be sure use a different browser for this step.

Avoid changing slugs

Page slugs are the unique identifiers for determining which content to load on each page. If you change the slug, previously posted comments to the same page will no longer load. So we advise against doing this. If you do need to change the slug and want comments to carry over, we can support this if you email us at hello@supersparks.io .

Renaming / Removing Class Names

Certain elements within our components include classes starting with 'supersparks-' that are required in order for our app to function (eg. "supersparks-comment-submit-bbbbb"). If you rename or remove these classes, certain or all aspects of the reviews / comment section may stop working. You can rename any other classes. If you would like to change the class structure, you can of course remove one of these class temporarily - just be sure to add them back 😀.

Also, try to avoid removing the following key elements:

• Comment Submit Form - supersparks-comment-submit-xxxxx
• Comment Grid - supersparks-comment-submit-xxxxx
• Comment card - supersparks-comment-card-xxxxx

These elements are all crucial to the app. You can delete / hide any other element from the component that you don't want. To gate certain elements to logged out visitors, you can use a membership tool.

Required Hidden Fields

If you are using Webflow or a a membership tool to conditionally hide guest inputs, be sure that the checkboxes for these inputs are not set to required in Webflow. Even if these elements are hidden, users won't be able to submit Webflow's form.
