Community Posting

Intro to community posting for Webflow with Supersparks

Before starting with the installation steps, we feel it's important to illustrate how our tool works:

Webflow: The Foundation

Webflow serves as the backbone of your community space, providing the tools to design and develop a stunning and functional website. Additionally, Webflow's CMS will be used to generate and store new community posts created by your users.

Membership Tools: Authentication and Access Control

Memberstack and Outseta play a crucial role in managing memberships and authentication for our community solution. These tools allow users to register and sign in, and they also provide the flexibility to create a custom user experience for posting content. For example, you can set up permissions so that only specific member groups have access to the form for creating new posts.

Supersparks: Empowering User-Generated Content

Supersparks integrates seamlessly with Webflow's CMS and your chosen membership tool to enable the content, social, and engagement side of your community experience. Our community posting app allows users to publish new pages of rich, CMS-driven content directly from a user-friendly form equipped with a robust rich text editor.

Supersparks also transforms these CMS pages into engaging community posts. When a user is logged-in user through Outseta or Memberstack and publishes a post, our tool automatically displays the author's member profile data in a dedicated "Original Poster" (OP) section (example below). You can even allow logged out members to create posts as guests.

Enabling Responses: Comments and Reviews

If you're building a forum-like community where users can respond to posts, Supersparks has you covered. Our tool offers additional apps for commenting, reviews, and upvoting that seamlessly integrate with the community posting functionality, fostering engagement and facilitating meaningful discussions among your members.

Installation Methods

There are two ways to implement community posting on your site, which have different installation steps:

  1. Create new site from template - We offer a wide-range of templates to help our users speed up the design and development process of creating a new site. Please note, we only recommend creating a new website from a template - see here for a more detailed tutorial. If you would like to use any of our templates on an established Webflow site, we recommend using our from scratch where you can more easily paste different template components into your site.
  2. Add to existing site - If you have an established Webflow site that you would like to add community to, you can implement community posting from scratch. The process takes longer than using a template but gives you more flexibility over the design of your community space. See here for a more detailed tutorial.
// Optional: Add this CSS to your project's custom code section
