Memberships

Removing the guest name & email inputs for members

Guest inputs with memberships

If you are enabling member posting with Memberstack, Outseta, & Webflow memberships to enable member generated content you might be asking what to do with guest email & name inputs that are included with all of the components in our editor. The good news is that logged in members do not need to fill out these two fields when posting content, since this data is already connected to their user profiles. Therefore, there are two options:

  1. Hide or delete the fields - this is ideal if you want to make your content sections. For more details on how to make certain features member only (eg. posting content) be sure to check out this tutorial.
  2. Use content gating - this is ideal if you want both members & guests to comment. Memberstack, Outseta, & Webflow Memberships all have unique ways of enabling this. But the idea is to hide these fields from logged in members and show them to logged visitors. See below what this setup looks like for Webflow Memberships.
